If your Tundra or Sequoia has a front-end vibration, growl, hum, gas-pedal buzz, or “whomp-whomp” noise that changes when shifting between 2WD and 4HI, the driver-side clamshell needle bearing may be worn.
Lifted trucks, larger tires, and increased CV angle can make the issue more noticeable. The ECGS PTFE bushing replaces the factory driver-side needle bearing to better support the CV axle under side load.
For DIY installation, choose the Complete Kit because the 9-inch reverse clamshell uses specific tooling that does not interchange with the 7.5-inch or 8-inch Toyota clamshell kits.
