2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Clamshell Bushing

This category covers ECGS Toyota 8-inch clamshell bushing products for applicable 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4WD applications. The FJ Cruiser uses a Toyota IFS front clamshell differential that can develop driver-side needle bearing wear and CV axle movement.

This bushing is for applicable 4WD FJ Cruiser applications, not AWD or full-time/non-selectable drivetrain setups. If your FJ Cruiser cannot shift between 2WD and 4HI/4LO, confirm fitment before ordering.

Common symptoms include a front-end hum, growl, vibration, gas-pedal buzz, or “whomp-whomp” noise around 30-50 mph. If the noise goes away in 4HI and returns in 2WD, the factory driver-side needle bearing is a likely cause.

The ECGS PTFE clamshell bushing replaces the factory needle bearing to better support the driver-side CV axle. For DIY installation, choose the Complete Kit with the correct bushing, removal tool, installation tool, seal driver, and seal components.
